Cardiac Care

The Cardiac Care Technician Certification will provide a foundation in healthcare-related careers, communication, soft skills, computers, anatomy, and physiology. In the Cardiac Care Technician Course, students will develop the basic skills necessary to monitor patients for any type of cardiac problems within a healthcare setting. Students will also be able to interpret basic ECGs and recognize cardiac dysrhythmias. Instructional methods are varied including classrooms and labs. Cardiac Care Technicians also prepare patients for open-heart surgeries and for implanting of pacemakers. Technologists monitor patients during these procedures.
